Becky VanDuyne Joins Willow Street

Please join us in welcoming Becky to the Willow Street team. As an Accounting Manager, Becky is responsible for bookkeeping and financial reporting for Willow Street client families, focusing on cash management, bill pay, and account reconciliations. She works closely with Relationship Managers to ensure our clients’ trust activity, no matter how unique or complex, is captured promptly and accurately.

Becky brings over 20 years of financial accounting experience to Willow Street, most recently as Controller for Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors in Iowa, where she managed day-to-day accounting operations, produced monthly financial statements, and oversaw department financials. Her previous experiences include accounting roles for a start-up and Baxter Healthcare in the Chicago area.

Becky earned her BS in Accounting from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. She lives with her husband in Teton Valley; together they enjoy biking, hiking, skiing, traveling to visit their five children, and rely strongly on their faith in God and fellowship with family. Becky especially enjoys participating in races, having completed half marathons, sprint triathlons, a portion of the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, and several mud run obstacle courses.

What’s the favorite place you have travelled to and why?

Two years ago my husband and I traveled to Italy — I had wanted to visit for a long time, so it was a dream come true. The beauty of the Amalfi coast is breathtaking, and walking along pathways that existed during the Roman Empire was a wonder. In Pompeii, I was amazed by the mosaics, advanced architecture, and sheer size. We cannot wait to return and explore more of Italy.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

If I had the courage, I would learn to scuba dive. I love swimming and know how to snorkel, but going down to farther depths is a bit intimidating. I would love to scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and swim with whales and other sea creatures — except maybe sharks. I will leave diving with great white sharks to other brave souls.
