What’s something you’re passionate about outside of work?

I grew up in a family with a deep-rooted legacy of service and patriotism, which has shaped my strong connection to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA). I am passionate about preserving historical landmarks, engaging in conversations about our nation’s history, and supporting veterans and their families. Through my participation, I’ve grown personally, gained invaluable mentorship and leadership experience, and, made a positive impact on my community. These organizations reflect my family’s legacy and values, which I’m honored to carry forward.

What’s the best book you’ve read recently?

I recently enjoyed reading “The Heart of the Buddha’s Teaching” by Thich Nhat Hanh, which presents Buddhist philosophy in a clear and accessible way. The Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path align with my personal pursuit of growth and inner peace. The teachings on mindfulness and presence deeply connect with my love for exploring the mountains. The book provides both practical guidance and profound wisdom, offering an enlightening and deeply enriching read that fosters a deeper understanding of life and interconnectedness.
