International Family Offices Publishes “Personne de Confiance”

Willow Street is pleased to share that the International Family Offices Journal has published board member Laurent Roux’s treatise on trusted advisors, “Personne de Confiance.” Co-published by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and edited by renowned family advisor Barbara Hauser, the Journal features articles from leading professionals on a variety of topics including family office models and structures, governance issues, protection of assets, philanthropy and consensus and communication within families. A key feature of the Journal lies in its international approach.

“Personne de Confiance” describes the history and characteristics of this critical role as well as the mutual learning process by which families and advisors can develop a relationship that transcends the traditional engagement. As a consultant to UHNW families across the globe, Laurent is well aware of the importance of a trusted advisor across generations:

“Quite simply, that person is passionate about undertaking a journey with the family aimed at helping them learn and grow both as a family and as individuals, has a culturalist view and is both committed to the family and its success today and in the future.”

Laurent has nearly 40 years of experience working with families and has served multiple generations in the fields of strategic wealth management, family wealth advising, family office planning, construction, and operations. He is a former Director at Pictet & Cie, Geneva and founded Gallatin Wealth Management in 2005. He is a Partner and Independent Director of Willow Street Group, LLC and its affiliate Willow Street Trust Company of Wyoming, LLC.
