April 1, 2022 — Willow Street founder and partner Barbara Hoeft is stepping away from her day-to-day role at the firm to spend more time with her family and pursue her passions of teaching and travel. Barbara will retain her interest in the firm as partner and remain a member of Willow Street’s Board of Directors and Trust Committee. Our entire team wishes to express our deep gratitude for Barbara’s leadership and commitment to our client families over the last 17 years. We look forward to continuing to work with her on a consulting basis.
Barbara said,
“Having more time to focus on the things that I love like teaching and mentoring others is an incredible opportunity for me. I wouldn’t be able to do this if it were not for the extraordinary people and partners at Willow Street. I started Willow Street with the hope that we would be able to give families peace of mind, knowing that an accomplished and diverse team of people stand at the ready to help them with their trusts and fiduciary services. That hope has now been realized and I am looking forward to the continued success of the firm.”
Our chairman and CEO, Phil Harrington, said,
“Barbara established the foundation for what Willow Street is today. Her vision and deep commitment and care for our client families continues to inform virtually all that we do. Many firms say they are client centric, but precious few firms are built from inception with such a foundation. All of us at Willow Street look forward to continuing to benefit from Barbara’s wisdom and client focus as a member of our governing board.
“On a more personal note, Barbara extended to me the great honor of engaging in a deep, and at times quite personal, dialogue with her as she discerned her future. Guided by her faith and love for her family, Barbara with courage and great confidence chose a new path forward in her life’s journey. In doing so, she continues to serve as an example of a life well lived for us all. I look forward to continuing to learn from her as a colleague and as a friend.”
