Scott D. Weaver
General Counsel & Chief Fiduciary Officer
Scott serves as general counsel and chief fiduciary officer for Willow Street Group, LLC and its affiliate, Willow Street Trust Company of Wyoming, LLC. He works with families and their advisors through new relationship onboarding and legal aspects of the client experience. His experience as a Wyoming-based trust and estate attorney enhances the firm’s capabilities in serving both domestic and international families and their advisors.
Prior to joining Willow Street in 2018, Scott was a private client attorney at Gonnella Adamson PC, where he focused on tax, business and estate planning. Following a company merger, Scott continued working for Geittmann Larson Swift LLP, applying his knowledge in trust and estate planning, tax management, and philanthropic giving and working with families to incorporate the many benefits available under Wyoming law. Scott is licensed to practice law in the State of Wyoming.
Prior to law school, Scott worked in the Emerging Market Economies section of the Federal Reserve Board as a senior research assistant where he assisted with research, forecasting and modeling of the Chinese economy. Scott earned a BA in mathematical economics from Colorado College and a JD from the University of Colorado Law School. Under his leadership, the University of Colorado debate team won the National Parliamentary Tournament of Excellence in 2010, the highest award in collegiate parliamentary debate. Scott is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys fly angling, skiing, and cycling throughout the Mountain West.
