What’s Something That Others Find Surprising About You?
I served on Jackson Hole Fire/EMS and the Teton Village Fire Department for over 20 years, retiring just this past summer. When I first joined the Department, I was the second female team member. The work was intense, and I loved helping people in our community. While I’m now retired, my “Fire Family” stays close to my heart, and I treasure the life-long friendships that I made.
What’s the Best Piece of Advice You’ve Ever Been Given?
“Do what you do best, and hire the rest.” This piece of advice has been invaluable throughout my career. When I started a business, I hired great people to help support me instead of expecting to do it all. So, if you’re a great plumber, don’t try to be the bookkeeper or equipment mechanic…you’ll waste your time and get frustrated quickly. Focus on being the best plumber out there, and hire others who are experts in their fields. This way everyone will be doing what they do best!
