Willow Street is pleased to announce the addition of three professionals to our team: Nate Bybee, George Hein, and Michael Hodges.
Nate Bybee
Nate joins Willow Street as Senior Manager, Accounting. In his role, he ensures accurate accounting and reporting both for our client families and internally. Between two stints working in the ski travel industry in accounting and operations, Nate spent three years working on mining and logistics projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He oversaw the accounting and governance for a number of entities in various jurisdictions, and was an integral part of the first successful export of certified conflict-free minerals from the DRC to the US. Nate earned his BS in Economics from the University of Puget Sound, and lives in Jackson with his wife and dog.
What’s Your Favorite Way to Spend a Summer Day in Jackson?
I start with a hike in Grand Teton National Park or mountain bike ride on the Phillips Ridge Trail on Teton Pass, then go paddle boarding on Slide Lake or the Snake River. I’d then head to the Gros Ventre to go camping and make a fire under the stars.
Before Joining Willow Street, What was the Most Unusual Job You’ve Had?
Starting the summer before my senior year of college, I sold fireworks on Indian reservations in Washington State in the weeks leading up to the 4th of July. This job involved driving a truck full of fireworks all over the state and essentially operating my own small business; I loved it so much that I continued to do it every June for another seven years.
George Hein
As a Relationship Manager, George works with clients and advisors through Willow Street Trust Company of Wyoming, LLC. He oversees cash flow management and provides financial reporting and analysis. George is pursuing his certification as a Certified Trust & Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA). Prior to joining Willow Street, George spent ten years at FactSet Research Systems, most recently as a Senior Analyst for their market reporting division, StreetAccount. He graduated from the University of Denver with a BS in Business Administration, majoring in Finance. George lives in Jackson with his wife and two young children, and is the Head Boys High School Lacrosse Coach for the Jackson Hole Lacrosse Club.
What Local Tip Would You Share With Jackson Hole Visitors?
When a big winter storm comes our way, it’s easy to rush out to Teton Village to ski at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. But often our “town hill,” Snow King Mountain, is a hidden powder gem that rewards those who take the road less traveled.
What is the Best Book You’ve Read Recently
I just read Legacy by James Kerr, and couldn’t put it down. It’s a case study about the legendary New Zealand All Blacks rugby team that examines the philosophies they have developed to achieve a culture of sustained success. Highly recommended.
Michael Hodges
As a Relationship Manager, Michael is a primary point of contact for Willow Street Group, LLC clients and their advisors to provide cash flow management, financial analysis and reporting, and other family office services. Prior to joining Willow Street, Michael served as the Director of Finance for a holding company that owns several operating businesses in the Jackson Hole area, and spent seven years in private banking and wealth management. He earned a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia and is pursuing his certification as a CTFA. Michael lives in Jackson with his wife and rescue dog.
If You Could Learn to Do Anything, What Would it be?
I’d love to learn one or two additional languages. Being able to travel to other countries—hopefully again soon—and speak the native language opens up so many opportunities that are normally lost with a language barrier. I’ve often wondered why I chose to study Latin in high school…
If you Suddenly Found Yourself With Two Hours of Free Time, What Would You Do With It?
I’d spend that found time outside. In the summer I would start with a quick 9 holes of golf on one of our beautiful courses, and then go for a run on our amazing trails up Cache Creek. In the winter, I would go backcountry skiing around Teton Pass.
Please join us in welcoming Nate, George, and Michael.
