As an Accounting Manager, Ilene is responsible for bookkeeping and financial reporting for Willow Street client families, focusing on cash management, bill pay, and account reconciliations. She works closely with Relationship Managers to ensure our clients’ trust activity, no matter how unique or complex, is captured promptly and accurately.

Ilene has over 30 years of experience in the financial services and global information and technology industries — most recently serving as a Financial Accountant for Teton County, Wyoming. While at American Express, she led a project to migrate US wire transactions to a new global platform, which combined her aptitude for achieving customer satisfaction, complex financial reporting, and managing people. Through her career, Ilene developed the integrity, strong project management skills, and creative problem-solving that she brings to her role at Willow Street.

Ilene earned a BS in Marketing and MBA in Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey. Ilene spent several years vacationing in Jackson with her husband before moving to the valley full-time in 2017. In her free time, she enjoys easy bike rides, hiking, and visiting her two adult children.

What’s your favorite place you have traveled to and why?

India is the most memorable place I have traveled to; I attended a colleague’s wedding there and stayed for a month. The people I met were warm and welcoming. I enjoyed visiting the Golden Triangle of New Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra, and seeing the Taj Mahal. I was fascinated to learn about the different languages, foods, and traditions in the various states.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

When I was a child, my mother often said, “you don’t have to be friends with everyone — you don’t even have to like everyone — but you need to be kind to everyone.” Kindness costs nothing but adds immense value to your life.
