Willow Street Financial Services is pleased to have sponsored the Third Annual STEP Wyoming International Trust Conference. The event, held September 19-21, 2014, was hosted at the beautiful Amangani hotel overlooking the Teton range in Jackson Hole.

Willow Street Financial Services kicked-off the event by hosting and sponsoring a cocktail party on Friday evening. Barbara Hoeft, Willow Street’s President, serves as the Vice Chair for the Wyoming Branch of STEP, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Speakers and attendees came from across the globe to participate in the conference. Event topics included “Estate Planning through an Asset Protection Lens”, presented by Gideon Rothschild of Moses & Singer, LLP, and “Estate Planning Hot Topics & Current Developments” by Stephen Akers of Bessemer Trust among others. Jonathan White of Elian Trust in the Channel Islands shared how Jersey became an international financial center, and then explored lessons learned for Wyoming’s trust industry development.

STEP is the worldwide professional association for practitioners dealing with family inheritance and succession planning. The Society helps to improve public understanding of the issues families face in this area and promotes education and high professional standards among its members.
