The Willow Street Group is pleased to announce that Scott D. Weaver has been named General Counsel and Chief Fiduciary Officer of the Willow Street Group and its wholly owned affiliate, Willow Street Trust Company of Wyoming. Scott joins Willow Street from Jackson-based Geittmann Larson Swift LLP (“GLS”) where his law practice focused on trust and estate planning, tax management, business planning, and philanthropic giving. He has helped both domestic and international clients structure their affairs through comprehensive plans incorporating the many benefits available under Wyoming law.

Scott joined GLS’s predecessor firm, Gonnella Adamson, PC following graduation from the University of Colorado Law School where he focused on tax, business, and estate planning. While attending law school, Scott coached the University of Colorado debate team, which under his leadership won the National Parliamentary Tournament of Excellence in 2010, the highest award in collegiate parliamentary debate.
Prior to law school, Scott worked for the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. as a Senior Research Assistant in the Emerging Market Economies section, assisting with research, forecasting and modelling of the Chinese economy. In this role, Scott assisted with the preparation of briefing materials used by former President George W. Bush at the Second Strategic Economic Dialogue with the People’s Republic of China.
Scott earned a B.A. in mathematical economics from Colorado College, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa. Scott is licensed to practice law in the States of Wyoming and Colorado.
Scott is an avid outdoorsman and Eagle Scout, who today enjoys fly angling, skiing, and cycling throughout the mountain West.
